12 Apostles Yoga

We set off early one morning with the aim of seeing the rugged splendour of the famous 12 Apostles, magnificent rock limestone stacks that rise up majestically from the Southern Ocean on Victoria’s dramatic coastline.

The 12 Apostles are located 275 kilometres west of Melbourne, approximately a four-hour drive along the Great Ocean Road. As we were in Geelong, the trip was much shorter but we made a few stops along the way and the most interesting part of it all was in the temperature changes.

This was our route along the Great Ocean Road: Geelong, Anglesea, Lorne, Apollo Bay, Wye River, 12 Apostles Marine Park.

Temperatures ranged from a windy and chilly 14 degrees in Apollo Bay to a balmy 24 on the beach beside the Apostles.  Here we met the majesty and power of the 12 Apostles area.  Crashing seas, pounding the limestone, yellow sand, the warmth of the sun and a very special Yoga class! This trip was such a highlight as we really got to experience the rawness of nature and practice our Yoga in challenging but awe-inspiring circumstances with nature’s energy around us and within us.

We hope you can feel the magic in the Youtube video.
