What is TRE®? (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises)

No special effects or filters, just a photo of the screen taken on my iphone.  Is it a trick of the light? Is it just a coincidence that this student’s favourite colour was pink? This student sadly passed away some months after this session and this was the last time I guided her through her TRE practice.  She used TRE to let go of pain and find a place of calm right up until the day she passed.

TRE has a calming effect on stress, tension and trauma-related disease.

TRE helps to release the patterns that exacerbate your symptoms, restoring balance to the nervous system. When practised regularly TRE has been seen to improve vitality, lifestyle and demeanour.

This series of simple exercises is designed to gently fatigue the muscles to create an involuntary shaking in the body, usually commencing in the legs.

This movement balances and calms the nervous system (including the body and the mind) in approximately 15 minutes.

Jacky will guide you through the exercises which can be modified to suit just about any fitness level. Then she will take you through the various tremoring positions while you lie down and begin to relax.

It works for most people as a way of releasing stress, tension and trauma from the body, no matter how long it has been there, how deeply it is buried or how traumatic it has been.
